Chronos smart watch adaptor
We just came across the Chronos today, but it’s the first “smart” watch or adapter that has felt interesting while understanding what mechanical watches mean to people. Rather than replace your whole watch, like an Apple Watch does, or replace your trusty strap with something less than beautiful, like the Unique smart strap does, the Chronos is a small disk that attaches to the back of your regular phone. Out of sight, it then links to your phone via bluetooth (Android or iOS) and pushes haptic or LED notifications to your wrist.
No idea how well it will work, and the integration limitations imposed on third party tools by iOS means it will probably work better with Android, but I’ve pre-ordered anyway. We’ll do a full review when it arrives.
